Not too many people know about this photo contest of KFC where the winner can travel to his or her dream destination anywhere in the world. Yep! Anywhere, as long as there are flights going there. France? Italy? Brazil? It’s possible! And you can bring along your friends too!

With the KFC’s “The Sweet Escape” Photo Contest, you can make your dream destination come true. It’s quite easy to join too and you don’t need to be a professional to win this one.

Simply shoot a picture of you or with your friends with a KFC Krusher (which actually tastes good by the way) anywhere in the Philippines that resembles any part of the world. Like a photo at the Sand Dunes of La Paz, Ilocos Norte which may resemble Dubai or Egypt’s Sahara Desert. Upload the photos to KFC Krushers Chill Zone and ask your friends to rate it. If you win, you get to go there with your friends.

All you need to do is be creative with your shot. And be original! Add props or wear costumes if you can. Judges will pick 10 photos based on creativity (50%), originality (30%) and chill meter rating (20%). Then for the final round, it’s up to the public to vote for the photo they like most.

The winner will get a Php400,000 budget for the trip. It won’t be handed out as cash (except maybe for the pocket money) and KFC will be the one to book the flight. That’s still enough for a trip for two to France.

Hmm, you’re probably thinking of ideas now huh? How about…

• A shot in the slums and you get to go to Mumbai, India?
• Or the fish port/pier at Navotas so you can visit Dhaka, Bangladesh?
• The rice fields in Nueva Ecija can pass for Vietnam
• Climb up Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon and it’s like being in the Amazon jungle of Brazil.

Here’s a tip, if you’re going to shoot in front of the pre-school building of University of Perpetual Succor College in Marikina and have it pass as Disneyland, aim big. Make it Disneyland, California instead of Disneyland Hong Kong.

My dream destination would probably Patagonia in South America but I can’t find any place here that would resemble its glaciers and beautiful lakes.
