My Panasonic LX3′s trip to the 9th Philippine Toy Convention
Today I went to SM Megamall to check out DC Comics 75th Anniversary celebration at the 9th Philippine Toy Convention. Lots of cosplayers pics on this post.
But before I went to the Megatrade Hall, I passed by the SM Activity Center in Building A to check out the DC Superhero Challenge.
If you think your kid can handle some extreme but safe and fun activities, let him or her try the DC Superhero Challenge. There’s two-rope traversing, mini zipline and wall climbing that will give your kid an extraordinary experience. This one’s better than climbing on the roof of a parked car like we used to do before.
Tomorrow, Father’s Day, will be the last day of this Superhero Challenge so make time for it if you can.
Ok now let’s get down to the main attraction, the 9th Philippine Toy Convention. Met up with Joey and his DSLR to cover the event.
Just like other toy or anime convention, expect to see a lot of cosplayers, discounted toys and anime stuff for sale. I think the in-thing right now is funky hats. Especially these Plants vs. Zombies hats.
Better get some for a Plants vs. Zombies themed Halloween Party. Hehehe.
There’s also this exhibit room at the far-end of Megatrade Hall where you can see life-size statues of popular superheroes. There are also a lot of custom-made sculptures on display and if you’re a fan of custom toys, you gotta check them out.
And finally, the cosplayers photos that I took in and out of the convention hall. Thank you to all the kind cosplayers who were very accommodating for photo ops.
You got to love the Panasonic LX3. These were all taken without a flash. Thanks to Az for letting us use his name so we can sit in front near the stage to get some good shots. Good thing because the LX3’s zoom is pathetic. =)
There are lots more cosplayers in the show that I wasn’t able to take photos of because I was conserving my LX3’s battery (didn’t charge it before I left the house). Check out the festivities tomorrow where there will be a new batch of cosplayers.

hey man. i was on the lookout for you but never saw a guy with a blue streaks on his hair. hehe sayang.
I actually left right before the main event to meet other friends outside the convention. Grr sayang nga.
And I didn’t see the function room with those life-sized superheroes!!! Aaaargh!
I bet nasa Cosplay ka this sunday, right? Ü
