Top 10 Facebook games for June 2010
Every start of the month, I list down the top 10 Facebook games based on the number of daily users for the previous month. Every month, Zynga’s Farmville ranks number 1 in that list. I’m getting tired of Farmville, are there any games that can topple its popularity? Even pastors are already using it in their sermons. Heh.
Anyway, here are the top 10 Facebook games coming into the month of June.
10. FishVille – 2,748,608 daily active users
It seems that Zynga’s aquarium game is making a hasty exit after only a few months in the top 10.
9. Restaurant City – 2,820,648 daily active users
Early adopters to the restaurant game can’t simply quit Playfish’s Restaurant City. They added some new features to keep gamers interested and its paying off. Zynga’s Cafe World is still going strong though.
8. Happy Aquarium – 2,825,967 daily active users
Happy Aquarium is here to stay but it dropped one spot from last month. Fish games aren’t just that marketable in Facebook?
7. Pet Society – 3,150,036 daily active users
Still hanging on but its daily users are slowly dwindling. Pet Society had an enormous start from Zynga’s PetVille and I think that’s what keeping the game alive. Plus some additional features.
6. PetVille – 3,824,017 daily active users
5. Mafia Wars – 4,853,953 daily active users
Went down a spot. The new pseudo-locations for a limited time are annoying. People are itching to see the next location. Bangkok has two additional chapters but it won’t keep the players occupied for long.
4. Texas HoldEm Poker – 5,597,446 daily active users
3. Cafe World – 5,854,649 daily active users
2. Treasure Isle – 6,454,648 daily active users
Treasure Madness is long forgotten thanks to Treasure Isle. This game stole the number two spot from Zynga-game Cafe World. People are getting addicted digging for treasures and getting achievements and completing collections. Yeah, Zynga is maximizing that game feature.
1. FarmVille – 20,444,590 daily active users
And FarmVille continues to reign supreme in the world of Facebook games. It has a whopping lead from the number 2 game and it’s been doing this since last year.
Basically, no new or returning game got into the top 10 list. They’re all the same with only a slight movement here and there.
Runner-up games
Here are some games that didn’t make it to the top 10 right now but are worth mentioning.
Let’s just see what happens next month. Can somebody beat FarmVille please?
