First, watch this amateur video taken by somebody of a girl trying out one the Magic Sing (videoke) at SM Megamall. You’ll probably see it in local news in the coming days and even if you’ve seen it, you’ll want to watch it again.

That talented girl folks, is Zendee Rose Tenerefe of General Santos City. You may be wondering what she’s doing in Manila. Why isn’t she joining those ongoing singing contests/reality shows by our TV networks?

Well believe it or not, Zendee is an ex X-Factor bootcamper. Yup, she auditioned in General Santos City for X-Factor Philippines where she sang Bleeding Love and passed after the four judges gave her a “yes”.

Actually, she’s kinda popular back in Gen San where she was the first Socsargen Pop Idol. She sings during big events in the province like Arnel Pineda’s concert and Manny Pacquiao’s birthday celebration. Unfortunately, she didn’t get past bootcamp where her 30-second performance got lost in a sea of other talented singers.

I was able to track her down in Facebook and chat with her a bit. I asked what’s her next plan and she said she’ll stay here in Manila for a bit and see if an opportunity will come up. I guess her free performance at SM Megamall would be the start of something big for her. According to her, it was her fourth song at that time. She enjoys giving free singing performances in malls until the guards would ask her to stop for causing foot traffic. Hahaha.

If you check out her YouTube page, you will see some more of her wonderful singing including a couple more Magic Sing performances at SM North EDSA which was recorded on purpose by her friends unlike the video above. Her Chasing Pavements cover is really good.

Magic Sing should pick her as an endorser. Just sayin’. Hehehe. She told me that her friends were doing videoke at Quantum SM North EDSA but decided to hit the Magic Sing in the department store instead because the mic’s much better.
