yup 0% rate of duty. you should insist on getting the breakdown. pero if the laptop is worth 50k i think 5k is normal kahit 0% pa yung rate of duty since sa VAT pa lang masakit na. all imports are subjected to VAT.

My dad gave me this link http://www.aseansec.org/documents%5CCEPT%5C2010-Philippines.pdf regarding the COMMON EFFECTIVE PREFERENTIAL TARIFF (CEPT) SCHEME FOR THE ASEAN countries under the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA). It shows a list of items and the tariff for each item. Note on page 188 (No. 6696, Description= Laptop including notebooks & subnotebooks), the tariff on Year 2010 = 0%. I wonder if this applies to my situation. Can the Customs officer expound on this?

iOS 4 will work on 2nd & 3rd gen ipod touch but not all features are supported. the multitasking and wallpaper will not work on ipod touch 2nd gen and ipod touch 8gb 3rd gen. but the other features will work like the folders, playlist and gallery viewing. also, your icons at the home pages will look like the icons in iPhone4 and iPad, which looks good and very nice.
